    Download

    A signed, notarized app, straight from Disk Whisk.

    To check the file, run shasum -a 256 on it in Terminal. It should print 7aa93c28e1fc1664edb15e055340fd156efda36364b4cbe20f6da4ef18e89dd1, the published checksum.

    Move to Applications

    Double-click the downloaded zip, then drag DiskWhisk.app to Applications in the Finder sidebar.

    The first time you open it, macOS asks you to confirm an app downloaded from the internet.

    Scan

    Start a read-only scan. Nothing changes until you approve a plan.

    macOS may ask before Disk Whisk looks in Desktop, Documents or Downloads. If you say no, the rest of the scan still works.

02UpdateSettings, History and your license are kept

Updating Disk Whisk.

From version 0.9.5, Disk Whisk checks for a new version once a day and tells you when one is ready. You can also choose Disk Whisk ▸ Check for Updates… at any time, and turn the daily check off in Settings ▸ General. See what changed.

    Download

    Get the latest version from this page. The link always points to the current release.

    Earlier versions don’t check for updates; this is how to move them to the latest.

    Quit Disk Whisk

    Choose Disk Whisk ▸ Quit Disk Whisk, or press Command-Q.

    Let any cleanup or compression that is running finish first.

    Replace the app

    Double-click the zip, drag the new DiskWhisk.app to Applications, and choose Replace.

    Your settings, cleanup History and license live outside the app, so they’re kept.

Pro trial

Start your 7-day Pro trial

Open Settings, then License, and choose Try Pro free for 7 days. You can also start it from any cleanup plan. No account or card needed.

Already purchased?

Paste the key from your purchase email into Settings, then License, and choose Activate. Or choose Activate from your account, then enter the code your Mac shows at diskwhisk.com/account.

Cleanups move only the items you approve to the Trash, with a receipt. Your cleanup history and restore stay available, even without Pro.
