DiskWhisk is opening soon for macOS 14 and later. Beta participants should use the support contact included with their invitation while the public support channel is being finalized.

Before cleaning

DiskWhisk first performs a read-only scan. Review every suggestion and its recovery method before approving a plan. Nothing is permanently deleted by the normal cleanup flow; approved items move to the macOS Trash.

Missing folders or incomplete results

macOS may restrict Desktop, Documents, Downloads, application data, or removable volumes. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and review the permissions shown for DiskWhisk, then run a fresh scan.

Restoring an item

Open History in DiskWhisk and choose the cleanup record. Recovery verifies that the recorded item is still the same item before restoring it. You can also inspect the macOS Trash directly.

Optional AI advisor

The advisor is not required for scanning or cleanup. If it is unavailable, DiskWhisk continues to use its local safety rules. You can remove the advisor API key from DiskWhisk Settings at any time.
